PRODUCT UPDATE
September 2026 · Issue No. 3
A NOTE FROM RICK
I said back in April that I wanted this newsletter to be a demonstration of our commitment to you, and the best way I know how to do that is to keep showing up with real progress. This issue has a fair bit of it.
Four things stand out to me. MORI is now fully integrated into our BDC offering and the early results are better than I hoped (I have the numbers below, and they are worth your two minutes). QAnalytics is going through the biggest transformation in its history, on an entirely new platform. Quorum AutoPay is in pilot, which means payments are finally moving into the DMS the way they always should have. And we have started designing a brand new look and feel for the DMS, with the first windows getting built in September.
Two of those come with an ask. I am looking for dealers to help us test the new QAnalytics, and I am looking for dealers who want a seat at the table on the new DMS design. If either sounds like you, just reply to this email.
So, let's get into it.
SPOTLIGHT

Two Vancouver Island stores, nine weeks, real numbers
The biggest thing we have done with MORI since April is finish the integration into our BDC offering. If DealerMine runs your BDC and books your service appointments, MORI now sits behind that team, picking up the calls they cannot get to at peak times and after hours. It does not replace anybody and it does not change your process. It just means more of your calls get answered.
Comox Valley Hyundai and Courtenay Mazda were two of our early adopters, and Corey Sawchuk (their Dealer Principal) let us publish what happened. Before MORI they were already answering 79% and 78% of their service calls, and every single after-hours call went to voicemail.
>97% of service calls now answered | +40% more service appointments, year over year | Zero after-hours calls left in voicemail |
Comox Valley Hyundai booked 61% more service appointments than the same weeks a year earlier. Courtenay Mazda was up 17%. Across the two stores MORI booked more than 260 real service appointments in April, May and June, built properly with the right op codes, the right services and a time that respects shop load. Not names and times the service drive has to rebuild the next morning.
“There’s no magic bullet in AI right now. We chose MORI because we wanted a partner we already trusted, not another company promising the world.”
Corey Sawchuk, Dealer Principal
We wrote the whole thing up, including what they did, what it cost them in effort (very little) and where the appointments came from. If you are still sending calls to voicemail after the doors close, this is the one to read.
REPORTING
Light Mode

Dark Mode

Reporting is on the move. QAnalytics is going through the biggest transformation it has ever had, onto an entirely new platform, and the feature list reads like the one you have all been sending us for years: customizable dashboards you build yourself, scheduled email reports, filtering that actually works the way you expect, light and dark mode, and a lot more.
The screenshot above is real, not a mockup. That is Inventory Aging running on the new platform today.
Want early access? We have the Parts Manager and Inventory Control reports built and ready to test on the new platform. I am looking for a handful of dealers to get in early, put it through its paces and tell us what is missing. Reply to this email and I will get you set up. |
In April I told you we were building payments directly into the DMS and aiming for a summer launch. We are piloting it now.
Here is what changes at the counter. Your staff no longer key the amount into the terminal. The DMS sends the amount to the terminal and collects the payment reference ID back automatically, so what was typed and what was charged can never drift apart. Then it goes further: we automate the payout journals and the reconciliation process, which is the part your accounting office will care about more than anyone.
If you want to be in the next group of pilot stores, let me know. I will get you connected with the right folks for a demo and get you on the list, which is filling up faster than I expected.

This one I am genuinely excited about. We are reviewing an entirely new look and feel for Quorum DMS: cleaner windows, better use of space, clearer grouping of information, and a light and dark mode. The screenshot above is the Work Orders window in the new design.
We build the first of the new windows in September. Your people live in this system eight hours a day, so I am not interested in designing it in a room by ourselves. We are working with a number of our customers to make sure we get this right, and there is still room at that table.
If you want to be one of the stores shaping it, reply and I will pull you in.
Quote from the Parts Shopping List. Your parts staff can now move items straight from the shopping list into a Parts Quote instead of re-entering them.
Toyota parts order submission status. The DMS now tells you clearly when an order has already been submitted, which should put an end to accidental duplicate orders.
Google Address search in Supplier Quick Entry, so supplier addresses populate accurately without the typing.
Autovance inside the DMS got smoother. Clearer error messages when the Autovance configuration is incomplete, and Autovance keyboard shortcuts now take precedence when it is launched from within the DMS.
On the OEM side, we are in progress with Ford Canada on repair order data transfer, and on GM OSS v1.17 in both Canada and the US, which includes GM OSS looking at your actual shop workload and advisor availability when it offers a customer a time.
PowerLane, Sales Planner & Communicator
GM stores can now set separate measurement thresholds for front and rear brakes instead of one shared number, so inspection results reflect how the vehicle actually wears.
Factory recommended services now sit above dealer recommended services in the maintenance schedule, so the manufacturer guidance is the first thing your advisor and your customer see.
We corrected how STOP and START text replies are processed and fixed the email unsubscribe page, so customers who opt out are properly opted out. This one matters for compliance, and it is fixed.
SALES CRM
In April I said we were starting conversations with customers about where AI could help sales staff. It is now a real product, in pilot as of mid August.
From the Traffic Log, one click has the assistant read the customer’s activity and history and hand your salesperson a Lead Intent Score, a suggested next message, call talking points and a recommended next action. Instead of digging through notes to work out where a lead stands, they get a head start on every follow-up. If you want in on the pilot, reply to this email. There is no charge.
Appointment confirmation emails. Turn on Service Appt Email Confirmation (Internal) in MORI settings, add the emails you want notified, and you will know every time MORI books an appointment.
Pooled minutes for dealer groups. Groups with three or more stores on MORI now share one pool of minutes, and overages only apply once the pool is exceeded.
Call forwarding from your queues. If you use DealerMine Telephony, you can now forward a call to MORI once a queue has looped a set number of times, instead of dropping the customer into voicemail.
Smarter web leads. Leads MORI emails into DealerMine are now parsed automatically, so the customer name populates and, where the name and phone clearly match, the lead links itself to the right customer profile.
Receptionist or overflow. You can now tell MORI which role it is playing (front line reception, or overflow and after hours only), and it adjusts how and when it transfers calls versus sends an email.
With 9.8.4 we completed a significant upgrade to the framework underneath the DealerMine interface. It sets us up for a more modern and more responsive product going forward.
We moved telephony traffic off the shared Common database onto a dedicated Telephony server. That improves reliability and performance for telephony and for everything else that used to compete with it. We also resolved the intermittent inbound and outbound call failures some of you experienced, and fixed voice recordings that could play back from the wrong store after our move to AWS.
A fair bit of work went into the other DMS integrations this cycle: Tekion phone numbers no longer get cleared when an appointment is created, Tekion open ROs no longer duplicate on the appointment schedule and inflate your shop hours, voided ROs now clear properly from customer profiles, CDK makes and models populate again, and duplicate op codes stay on the appointment where they belong.
User management is done, and it is yours now
We finished the User Management overhaul. Anyone with Desk Settings access can now create and deactivate users for their rooftop directly in Autovance, without calling support. New users get an onboarding email automatically. Users tied to multiple rooftops still need us, but you can raise that ticket right from the interface.
Built with the Quorum DMS team, this lets Autovance send only the F&I related updates (fees, F&I products, extended warranties, insurance products and vehicle pricing) across to the DMS. Changes your team made directly on the DMS worksheet stay intact, while the F&I side stays current.
Autovance has always calculated the first payment date from the contract date and payment schedule. Now it shows it to you, right in the Deal Information section.
The foundation work for the First Canadian Financial Group integration is in place. When it lands, their full suite of protection products, with rates and options, will display directly in your deal instead of you switching between systems. This is the first of several F&I provider integrations we are building across North America.
Freight and PDI charges were pushing to PBS as $0 and forcing your F&I managers to correct them on every deal. That is fixed. We also fixed the rebate cost mapping dropdown coming up empty when pushing a deal with an invoice-based rebate, and the “currently viewing” indicator that would not clear after the other user left the deal.
Accessible Accessories now supports a new API endpoint that lets partners pull full quote details using either a quote number or a VIN. We also resolved an issue where dealer activity logs were not displaying correctly for GM, Chrysler and Ford stores, and picked up some performance improvements along the way.
If you have ideas for where ACC should go next, the Ideas Portal is the fastest way to get them in front of the team.
We shipped updates to the Accessible Accessories components this quarter along with a handful of fixes and visual improvements. We’ve also got a landing page redesign in the works. More on that next month.
